The Friends of the Trees Research Papers ... aim to create a database of information about the role of trees in world faiths and spiritual traditions.
Methods Professional scientists, amateurs and any member of the public are equally welcome to contribute findings, traces, evidence, in writing or photography or audio-taped interviews. The information so gathered will contribute to the “Friends of the Trees Research Papers”. These documents are made public in pdf format on our website. The open format of this project also allows fragmented information and remnants of lost traditions to find their way into a bigger context. Thus these papers will accumulate to a wealth of diverse material, particularly precious for studies such as ethnobotany, comparative religion and deep ecology. By sending such information to the charity Friends of the Trees the author agrees this information to be edited and published by us in the above way. If you are interested you can download the Guidelines (2 pages – 408Kb) here.
